Welcome to Palton Retrievers
Axel head number 2

Palton Retrievers are based near Bewdley on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders.

I have owned and been owned by this wonderful breed since 1973 when I was given Bridie my first Golden Retriever an unregistered bitch who was an absolute Gem. From then on they have become part of my life. In 1980 I bought my first registered Golden Contessa of Palton who started me at showing and went on to become my foundation bitch. I show them, have done obedience with them and have also worked George and Derby on the shooting field, when we regularly picked up with my husband James. Sadly George and Derby have now gone over to Rainbow Bridge. We do miss those times. So we are now usually out at weekends showing them and enjoying them.

In 2008 I purchased our first Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Corlitgold Macawi at Palton – Meka was successfully shown qualifying for Crufts on a regular basis. I now have two of her daughters, which I do show on occasions.

Palton puppies have gone on to become mainly family pets, but also show dogs, working dogs, Dogs for Disabled, Canine Partners, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and also Guide Dogs for the Blind. All of which I am very proud off. When breeding our dogs they are bred first and foremost for their excellent temperaments and to be healthy dogs. All breed relevant health checks are carried out on their parents. Puppies are sometimes available so please keep your eye on our Puppy’s Page if you are looking for a new addition to your family
